To make delicious waffles, you will need:
- 2 cups cake flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 eggs (large) with the yolk and white separated
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 tablespoons butter (unsalted), melted
- 2 cups milk
Here’s How to Make Waffles:
- Preheat your waffle maker (following the instructions from the manufacturer).
- Using a medium bowl, sift together the baking powder (check out these baking powder alternatives), salt and flour and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, using a wooden spoon, beat together using a hand mixer the sugar and egg yolks until the sugar completely dissolves and the eggs turn pale yellow.
- Add the melted butter, milk and vanilla extract to the mixed eggs and sugar. Whisk to combine the said ingredients.
- Combine the milk-egg mixture with the flour mixture. Whisk until well-blended but do not over mix.
- Using a separate bowl (this will be your third bowl), beat the egg whites using an electric mixer until you see a formation of soft peaks. This takes about 1 minute.

- Pour enough batter in iron just enough to cover the waffle grid.
